Fatabulous Cricut Challenge #29

I could not wait to scrap these pictures! The title is from Once Upon a Princess and the heart, star, and circles are from Gypsy Wanderings. I had first cut the top layer of drama queen in an orange but it really didn't pop. So, I took the dark purple from her sunglasses and used that- instant pop! I am surprised I even had a sheet of purple cardstock, not a color that I use to often...purple is growing on me :)

September 27th –National Sewing Month:
Create a project using some type of stitching -hand, machine, faux stitching

Fantabulous Cricut Crawl

Welcome to Crafty Go Lucky and the second "Fantabulous Cricut Crawl"...Fantabulous Cricut's version of a blog hop!

If you've come from visiting the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog, you're in the right place, I am the first stop! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE.

In honor of Back To School time, we're calling our second Fantabulous Cricut Crawl "Button Up For School"...each design team member will be featuring a button somewhere on their project!

Each Design Team member will be featuring an original project featuring a button AND a Cricut cut somewhere on the project. Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be prizes along the way at our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a grand prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a project meeting the the "Button Up For School" challenge criteria!

How fun is that?

I really wanted to make a layout of my son working on his letters. He has made such progress, and really loves to practice writing his name! I used several cartridges: apple- Home Accents, 2010- Plantin Schoolbook, flower- Paisley, and butterfly- Teardrop. I had thought about lining up my buttons along the side of the picture, but in the end loved the look of buttons scattered across the layout.

Want to win these goodies?? Here's how: Leave a comment on this post, and for a second chance become a follower!
Now it's your turn! See if you can incorporate a button on your own "Button Up For School" project. Make sure to include a Cricut cut somewhere on your project!

Next stop...Sherri's blog, Love, Laughter, and Creations! Go see what she has in store for you today... And when you're done, make sure to link up your project to FCCB's Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post to be entered into the contest!

Happy Crawling!

Product Review: Good Fortune

I recently did a product review for Coconut Mineral Salt Soak from Good Fortune. I will tell you off the bat, I am such a bath girl! Always have been and always will be:) I have used the salts about twice a week- such a special treat. To use the salt, you just pour a palm full into your bath. Easy to use, and it smells so good! Their packaging is adorable (I plan to reuse my bag for a Christmas gift), and I just love the creativity of their other products...Kiss Me Kit and Faucet Soap. How cool is that?
I really appreciate the mission of the Good Fortune company (from their site)
Good Fortune offers superior natural skin care products for real people with real needs.
and We handcraft everything locally with a positive spirit and believe in a better way of life. We support clean living, living simply, living responsibly, and caring for each other and our beautiful earth. Together we can help change the world: one mind, body, and spirit at a time!
Thanks, Good Fortune! I am off to soak my troubles away:)

Thank You

This day really reminds me of how proud I am of my brother and what he does. He became a Marine in August 2001, and how quickly the world would change a month later. This photo is from his officer ceremony in 2005. Thank you to all our service men and women!

And, random.org picked 4 flowerdisco said... this so nice of you! You have some books coming your way. My quick review- loved Like Water for Chocolate... I had a tougher time with The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society. It was really well written, I just had a tough time getting through some of the flashbacks- very sad.

There is a new challenge over at the Sussies blog from Jennifer, showcase your summer photographs! You can earn 10 to 15 points, make sure to upload them to the gallery.
Dante was so proud of his skull swimsuit, and just had to wear it to swim lessons every week. I adore the swimsuit paper in the September kit:)

Spread the Love!

September Scrapbook Sussies creations are being posted in the gallery, and I wanted to share something exciting that Lara is doing.... (from the Scrapbook Sussies blog, it is good stuff!)

Welcome to the Sussies Spread the Love Blog Challenge!!! We’re looking forward to a fun September month! We hope you are, too! Keep an eye on the blog! We’re going to have challenges throughout the month worth points! The more you participate, the more points you get! The more points you have, the better!

There will be several ways to win….
• The person with the most points will win a fantabulous prize - a three month subscription to Scrapbook Sussies!!!! WOO HOO!!!!
• We know it’s hard to always stay in first place, so we don’t want you to be discouraged!! So… anyone with at least 100 points will be entered into a drawing to win an equally fantabulous prize – a three month subscription to Scrapbook Sussies!!!!
• Anyone with at least 100 points will receive a coupon good for 50% off one item on the Scrapbook Sussies website!!! HOW COOL IS THAT???

Let’s get the first things (and easiest ways to win points) out of the way first… Once you have all of these completed (or as many as you are going to have completed), email me at lmcclendon@scrapbooksussies.com and let me know! Give me as much detail as you can, including any links to websites / blogs / galleries so I can keep track of your points! Some of these you may already have done, some may be brand new…
• Post our badge on your blog
• Post a blinkie in your signature on a message board
• Like Scrapbook Sussies or become a friend of Sussies on Facebook
• Post on your blog about Scrapbook Sussies - send me a link to see!
• Email some of your scrappy friends a quick email telling them how great our Sussies kits are!!! Please cc me at lmcclendon@scrapbooksussies so I can check this off your list and give you points!!!
• Be a follower on the Scrapbook Sussies blog!
• Sign up for a username in the Sussies Gallery! (If you’ve already done this, that counts… no need for two usernames!)

OK – those are the quick and easy Spread the Love items. Each one is worth five points – you’re already 35 points on your way to the 100 if you do all of them! (Future items will be worth more than just five points!)
Watch the blog for more challenges and ways to earn more points!

I know some of you might wonder if you have to use a Sussies kit for the scrappy challenges that will be coming up. The answer is no, but, if you do use a Sussies kit, you will earn more points than those not using a Sussies kit. Don’t have a Sussies kit? NO WORRIES!!! You have a one-time opportunity to purchase ONE Sussies past kit to use in these challenges for the amazing low price of just $25.00!!! That’s a $36.00 kit for just $25.00. Email me at lmcclendon@scrapbooksussies.com if you’re interested!
